Shipping containers in Lisbon, NH

Trapp Rentals and Storage is based 21 miles away in Piermont, NH, and delivers new and used shipping containers directly to Lisbon, NH — no third-party carriers, ever.

Lisbon grew up around the Ammonoosuc River's waterpower — sawmills, gristmills, and eventually a run of manufacturing so specialized that three of the country's five peg mills operated here, and Parker Young Company became, for a time, the largest maker of piano soundboards in the world. It's still a working river town today, with the hillside village of Sugar Hill — once part of Lisbon itself — visible in the distance.

About Lisbon, NH

The waterpower on the Ammonoosuc's steep, narrow falls turned Lisbon into a genuine manufacturing town in the 1800s — sawmills and gristmills gave way to specialized factories, including piano soundboard production on a scale big enough to supply pianos worldwide. Up on the hill above town, the settlement that became Sugar Hill was originally part of Lisbon too, but the two halves grew apart: Lisbon stayed focused on its mills and factories, while Sugar Hill built an economy on farming and, later, well-to-do summer tourists. By 1962 the economic and tax divide had grown wide enough that Sugar Hill split off to become its own town, leaving Lisbon the mill-town identity it still carries today.

What Lisbon, NH buyers and renters should know

Lisbon's mix of riverside industry and hillside farms means we deliver everything from business and equipment storage downtown to farm storage on the properties climbing toward Sugar Hill. Older village lots near downtown sometimes need a careful approach, which we're glad to plan around.

Lisbon runs a bit further from our Piermont yard than our closest towns, but it's still a straightforward same-day or next-day delivery for anything in stock.
